Overview
In this workshop we would like to understand various invariants in low-dimensional topology and their applications. In particular, we will focus on the following invariants:

 - Geometric representatives of 3-manifolds and knot groups
 - Polynomial invariants of knots
 - Heegaard Floer and Khovanov homology invariants of knots and manifolds
 - Gauge theoretic invariants of manifolds

Also, there will be two lecture series for 2 days (May 8-9, 2017) right before our workshop at KIAS.
Francesco Lin  and Mark Powell will give lectures about 'An introduction to monopole Floer homology' and 'Topological 4-manifolds and the disc embedding theorem', respectively.
